Is this safe?

We explain why:

  • Your secret is not transmitted without encrypting it.
  • Your secret is not stored without encryption
  • Your secret is only stored for 24 hours
  • Once your secret is revealed, it is deleted.
  • If there is a problem in revealing your secret, including a wrong password, it is deleted.
  • We cannot decipher your secret because we do NOT have the password. Everything happens in your browser.
  • The secret is stored in our database when it has already been encrypted, not before or during.

The security of the encryption used is handled by the Symmetric Encryption engine developed at Stanford.

The biggest vulnerability of this system is that someone intercepts the link and the password together. This is why we recommend that you send the link and the password by different means.
